Maharshtra Industrial Development Corp has decided resolve the problem of the industrial estates of Thane Belapur and Butibori Hingna to cater to units suffering from erratic and poor quality power supply by setting up Group Captive Power Plants in those industrial estates. MIDC has selected Reliance Energy to set up those power plants. The GCPPs would be run with active participation of the consumers and a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) would be floated for this purpose. Consumers would hold 26 per cent equity while the balance would be held by the generating company REL, which would be free to raise additional capital from the market. The Rs.7000 million project is a part of MIDC initiative to tide over frequent power cuts by the Maharashtra State Electricity Board (MSEB) in industrial areas. So I just tend to bust them out with fairly clean looking jeans or neat chinos. I lean towards grey being a pretty flexible color, so they work with most color of trousers. They work really well for situations where I want something just a touch more interesting, like grabbing cocktails with friends in the evening, date night, or something similar but they flexible enough for just about anything. Seriously though, work is button downs, black or grey slacks, and pair of oxfords. Weekends are jeans, a hoodie from my martial studio, and doc martins. There is literally no situation where I would boat shoes in public. I own a pair of boat shoes with non marring soles, they are for when I am helping my friend on his sailboat, and that the only time I wear them.

In plain English, that means that our embassies violate federal law if they fail to "facilitate" asylum applications at our embassies abroad. Yet Tim Peters not only informs me that our embassies are refusing to take these refugees, he's said the same to Congress under oath, and he has it on film, thanks to CNN. One overseas ambassador, so another source tells me, went so far as to seek legal advice from Foggy Bottom as to how to interpret the law. He was told in no uncertain terms not to ask again. One Free Korea's Joshua Stantaon is a well respected blogger. He recently met with Ambassador John Bolton, and a plaque he designed now hangs prominantly in Bolton's office. Maybe that's why a government leaker has chosen OFK to release the news My source says that Burns doesn't want our State Department taking any actions that would unduly offend Kim Jong Il, such as taking in refugees, or letting any pesky part time Special Envoy muck it all up with unpleasant remarks about investigating infanticides, concentration camps, or gas chambers. Hence, we hear relatively little from Lefkowitz, and shouldn't expect to hear much more of consequence. Just to be sure according to a different source State has placed individuals sympathetic to the Burns world view in Lefkowitz's office . . . to better keep him inside the range of his electronic ankle bracelet. Nicholas Burns: Rogue Diplomat? Of course, this is only a leak it may not be true. Conceivable it could be part of a power play by a secret cabal a conspiracy to embarrass a pesky enemy. But given the State Department's history of rogue policy, the news is all too believable. On the story's discussion thread," Mi Hwa wonders if Dr. Barnett's old enemy, the Department of Homeland Security, is behind the trouble: At the State Department, the buck stops at Condi Rice. She obviously does not welcome North Korean refugees. Homeland security is probably the reason they don't want North Korean spies or terrorists. The news even has Joshua, a firm Republican, questioning Secretary Rice's leadership Mi Hwa, Other than your speculation about Homeland Security being the culprit (one doesn't need one if my source is right about State), I'm actually forced to admit that I agree with you. Condi Rice is responsible for what her subordinates and our ambassadors are doing, or failing to do. She has sworn to uphold our nation's laws. She must be accountable if she fails to do this. Unless we kill Kim, we break North Korea through connectivity not guarding the gates of Pyongyang's prisons for them. I don't know any details of a DHS Rice feud, but Barnett's despisal of homeland security is well known. You got Terry Teachout's article on the NY Philharmonic biut missed the one Dick Allen and I had in the New York Times the next day Oct 28, 2007. Today, the President of the Korea Society misrepresented what we said and made and argument about what the North koreans need and what they deserve. Actually, Dick Allen and I think think they deserve to hear the New York Philharmonic, and the NY Phil deserves to choose what they will play and how they will play it. The problem is what Kim Jong il will allow. Here's what we wrote: October 28, 2007Concert Without Strings By RICHARD V. ALLEN and CHUCK DOWNS THE New York Philharmonic is considering a performance in Pyongyang, North Korea, next February, and already the regime there has begun to behave as though the proposed concert would be a tribute rather than an act of generosity. Sport Blue 3s I tell you, my oldest daughter is something else. Last summer she would wake up at the crack of dawn and ride her bike to the mall. It was only a short distance away and she would ride with friends so it wasn't so much a safety concern I was having, but rather how uncomfortable I felt about her hanging out at the mall all day and not doing something more constructive with her time. When she started coming home with new shoes, Ipods and various trinkets, I really began to worry and confronted her one night demanding she explain how she was acquiring these things on a five dollar a week allowance. To my surprise, she calmly stated that she didn't "hang" around the mall all day. She was actually hunting for diamonds in the parking lot, both there and at the Wal Mart nearby. My daughter is the only person on this planet who can leave me speechless and as I stood there, unprepared for this explanation, she said in her most grown up voice, "Perhaps I should explain." She then proceeded to give me a science lesson coupled with deductive reasoning and I have to say I was once again left speechless. She told me that changes in temperature have an effect on most material things, especially metal. Different metals have different rates at which they respond to these changes. This is the basis of how old mechanical thermostats work. A length of coiled metal is attached to a bulb containing mercury and winds and unwinds back and forth as it expands and contracts according to room temperature, making and breaking electrical connections thus controlling the heating and cooling equipment. On a hot summer day most folks, especially those that can afford to do so and therefore can also afford to wear a lot of jewelry, run their car AC at full blast whenever they go somewhere includes malls, shopping centers and so forth. When they get out of their cars and step into the summer heat magnified by a black asphalt parking lot, the metal in their jewelry rapidly expands and diamonds sometimes pop out of their settings. Now I have certainly lost my fair share of diamonds, albeit very, very small ones nearly invisible to the naked eye, but my daughter figured this was possibly how I, and therefore many others, inexplicably lost diamonds and jewels, (she also claims to have figured out where the lost sock in the dryer disappears to). Anyway, after a little practice, my daughter told me it's relatively easy to discern a diamonds sparkle to that of the glass sparkles of your basic mall parking lot. She smiled a devilish smile and said that is what keeps them hidden in plain sight! In exchange for a small commission, her best friend's older brother then takes the diamonds to the pawn shop and gets what he can for them. The money is divided equally amongst the prospectors and they spend the rest of the day shopping. I was floored! How dare she not turn these jewels over to her poor single mother who, by the way, just adores diamonds! A pawn shop you kidding me? I asked her if she had considered the feelings of the people who lost these diamonds and perhaps she should have turned them over to the mall's lost and found department. She then asked me if I had ever gone to the mall's lost and found department looking for any of my lost diamonds and I admitted I had never thought to do so, until now. She looked at me with a measure of satisfaction and said the mall folks would probably just take them for themselves anyway and she would be considered an accessory to a crime at that point. I was too tired to argue her reasoning and too proud of her constructive thinking to punish her. I asked her just how many diamonds had she found to afford all of the clothes and shoes and electronic gadgets she had acquired over the summer. She explained that a lot of what they found were fake stones with no real value. However, after exploring eBay awhile, she realized people would buy just about anything unique and unusual. Cubic Zirconia is anything but unusual, but a Cubic Zirconia with a captured magic spirit in it that will bring fortune and fame into your life is quite the find. A little creative writing and a made up Great Aunt who had practiced the dark arts, and poof, you now have a stone with value that desperate people are only to eager to buy. The shocked look on my face made her quickly recant her story and she claimed to be pulling her momma's leg, but I don't know. I worry about my daughter sometimes. I hope she knows where that very thin line between creativity and dishonesty lies. Actually, I'm quite certain she knows exactly where it lies and I should be more concerned with how often she has consciously chosen to cross it.
