Dogs provide added security in your home and lovable companionship. They give unconditional love and pose little problems generally when living indoors. If you enjoy kicking off your shoes after a hard day at work, the shoes may resemble a toy to your canine friend, resulting in teeth marks and other damage. If your dog enjoys chewing on any available footwear, this bad habit is frustrating and often costly. Breaking an older dog of this annoying habit takes persistence, patience and proper training. Reinforce the rule that the dog should only chew appropriate chew toys. This is behavior that requires consistency, possibly for a few days up to three or four weeks, depending on the individual dog. Don't send mixed messages to your dog by ignoring chewing on shoes or other inappropriate items one day and then deciding the next day that you are going to start the training again. Proper training pays off in acceptable behavior eventually, but you must be consistent in your efforts in order to reap the rewards of a well trained older dog. Keep the training simple with the same stern reprimands and lots of love and praise when the dog behaves appropriately in order to obtain success. "To build a Porsche for 30,000 euros currently doesn't fit our brand," Bernhard Maier told the Automotive News Europe Congress in Monte Carlo today. "The extraordinary purchase experience is not for free and the entry price is currently covered with the Boxster and in the future by the Macan." He said Porsche's plan to double sales won't compromise exclusivity. "We will retain the brand's exclusiveness despite increasing volumes. We have to accelerate to stay successful in the long run." Porsche aims to sell 200,000 cars a year by 2018. Last year the company sold 117,000, a rise of 18 percent on 2010 figures. "Our Strategy 2018 began by defining the brand strategy," said Maier. "No matter what we build we build sports cars." He said the brand had been called into question every time the company launched into a new sector. Next year, Porsche will launch its second SUV, the smaller Macan. Maier insisted it would fit the brand. "We always offer the sportiest and most exclusive vehicle in the segment," he said. The large Cayenne SUV is now Porsche's biggest seller, accounting for half of the firm's sales in the first quarter of 2012. Despite the increased volumes, exclusivity is still achievable Maier said: "We offer one car fewer than the market is able to handle,' he said. "If the experts are right and the world markets grow to 100 million units in 2018 and Porsche would sell 200,000 units, we would have a world market share of 0.2 percent. I don't believe this would be a drastic change in exclusiveness." Air Jordan 3 Fear,Human Beings are an interesting species in that they believe somehow they are special, that their God created them in his image and they are more divine than other animals on the Planet. We have heard all the reasons why humans are better or different. That they can think, plan, dream, reason and have choice? Surely you have pondered this question, yet if you have a pet; a dog or cat, you know they think. You watch them move their feet while sleeping they are dreaming about something obviously, running around the yard, chasing a mouse, whatever, what else could that be? Some say well only humans have empathy; that is utter and complete hokum and hogwash. We know dogs and chimpanzees have empathy that has been proven over and over again. Dolphins too, having rescued people drowning and left others to drown, obviously they are thinking about whom to save and why? Let me throw out a couple of other thoughts on this subject, as like you I too have thought here. In my conclusion of this thought and in all my observation of humans, I do not find a single redeeming quality or even a seriously debatable point that mankind has something extra that other animals do not have? Even sharks seem to reason and choose where to swim? Monkeys and Dogs have empathy? One thing I have thought on is that humans can over come many of their innate tendencies, such as the need to procreate. Although other animals can do this, it appears to be much easier for human beings than other animals. However, this might end up being our downfall of the species some day off in the future. I do not believe mankind is anything special, but as has been said they are mostly harmless. One thing that makes humans unique might be that no other creature lives in such fantasy of self importance or false ego? That must be it? Think about it. "The fact that humans are aware of their existence is what separates us from the rest of the animals. Once we became self aware, we could contemplate. Contemplation led to manipulation, and it was good. Humans manipulated nature, as an example: gathering seeds, planting them, growing food instead of haphazardly finding it. We manipulated the wildlife, by building fences to hold other animals as opposed to having to go hunt for them. Eventually some of the humans learned they could manipulate other humans. Much of this manipulation was done through violence, sex, religion, etc. Our brains evolved to be self aware, it is this sixth sense that gives us the edge over the rest of the animals. Self awareness leads to contemplation, which is an extremely valuable trait to possess.

He rushed for 1,832 yards and 20 touchdowns last season, averaging 21.5 carries per game, and has a scholarship offer from Toledo. "He's our money player," Lucas said. "We have more weapons this year, so we don't have to rely on him quite as much. But don't get thing twisted. He still makes this thing go." Other top players: WR Will Blackford (Sr.), WR Jake Rist (Sr.), OL Jacob Key (Sr.), DE Ty'Ron Horton (Sr.), DL Derek Dorsey (Jr.), LB Damien Smith (Sr.), LB Christopher Dyer (Sr.), DB Jordon Gonzalez (Sr.). Outlook: Lucas says this will "definitely be my best team since I've been coaching in the state of Kentucky. We're balanced on both sides of the ball." The Crimsons are breaking in a new quarterback in junior Tim Comstock, but he's surrounded by talented skill players such as Nero, Blackford and Rist. Lucas believes he has one of the state's top front sevens on defense, led by Horton and Dorsey on the line and Smith and Dyer at linebacker. "Our defense should carry us," Lucas said. Air Jordan 3 Fear Let's put the numbers into perspective. First, of 85 permissible scholarships handed out by Illini football coach Tim Beckman next fall, about 60 will go to athletes from beyond the Illinois boundaries (failure of in state recruiting is another story). Each out of state scholarship, paid by the athletic department to the university, will run between $44,000 and $49,000, depending on the tuition of the college of choice. Taking a midpoint of $46,000, that comes to $2.76 million . just for non Illinoisans playing football here this coming season. So, if the Power 5 conferences, with Jim Delany and the Big Ten in a leadership role, settle on a stipend of $2,000 or $3,000, that is a nice bonus geared to quiet those who claim some athletes might be going hungry (as expressed by UConn basketball star Shabazz Napier). For the select universities wallowing in big bucks, it is well within future budgets. As example, 500 athletes receiving $2,000 amounts to $1 million, which is below projected increases in annual broadcast revenue. This will be voted on by the Division I Board of Directors on Thursday, one day before Northwestern football players vote whether to approve a union. The meal change is just one of several key adjustments that the large NCAA schools have been pushing against resistant (and less wealthy) smaller schools. Some critics will see these inevitable moves as inspired by and as a reaction to the Northwestern union fuss. Maybe so, but these magnitude 8 ground shakers have been in the works for years . ever since the major conferences became frustrated with their inability to pass legislation that the smaller conferences rebuffed. Just as lightning precedes thunder, the meal deal is a forerunner to the big ones coming down the chute. It is unconscionable to have so much money pouring in from broadcast rights and not settle on a stipend amount and long term insurance coverage for athletic injuries. The debate probably will center around how to pay those athletes on partial scholarships. Northwestern's union push, which could be sidetracked by Friday's vote, may be seen as speeding up the NCAA process, but changes were coming nonetheless. Money talks Win and they will come . bearing gifts. As noted earlier, Illinois receives $1 million in free product and more than $300,000 annually from Nike. Imagine what it would be if the Illini had been winning more football and basketball games. Illinois is a piker compared to elite programs whose on field success has drawn huge brand agreements with apparel companies in a tug of war to attract powerhouse brands. For example, Under Armour has a 10 year, $90 million deal with Notre Dame. And adidas, having lost Notre Dame and Tennessee, is giving Michigan $82 million over 10 years and has extended its long relationship with Louisville to the tune of $40 million over five years. The Louisville story is one of remarkable success stemming in great part from the school's willingness to play midweek football TV games when others declined. At the same time, AD Tom Jurich (arrived in 1997, contract through 2023) developed an overall sports brand so strong that a prestigious basketball conference, the ACC, is adding the Cardinals on July 1. It would have been difficult to imagine a decade ago that Louisville could athletically surpass so many state institutions (like Illinois) with across the board success. Cardinal sports merchandise income has tripled since 2001 as they (1) won 50 league and tournament titles in two conferences since 2005, (2) reached basketball's Final Four in 2012 and won the crown in 2013, (3) went 30 4 in advancing to the women's Final Four, (4) beat Florida in the 2013 Sugar Bowl and finished 11 2 and 12 1 the past two seasons, (5) reached baseball's World Series in 2007 and 2013 and (6) repeatedly produced NCAA qualifiers in volleyball.
